AF in low light

I've read on the forum that there are problems with focusing in low light ( with regards to Pentax ) Just as a test last night I switched on the AF assist beam on my K-5 and the aid of AF-360fgz Flash , took a photograph of a subject in total darkness and my subject was completely in focus , not sure what inherent problems folks are having here but I had no issues at all getting a focus in Darkness ?

All of those things help, but try it with fast moving subjects at a dimly lit wedding reception. Pentax cameras CAN do it, but others do it a helluva lot better.

I assume by others you mean "canon" , "Nikon" etc , There are possibly many other different Scenarios that Pentax would have difficulty Focusing on a Subject Namely a "Dimly lit room whilst your subject is moving around". But as you mentioned Pentax can do it and that is good enough for me.
