One Million Moms, why do you hate so good?

Hate group, and internet joke, One Million Moms is offended again. This time, for showing a loving gay couple with their kids. I can't access the article on their site today, as it's too busy, but it was quite hilarious. They mentioned boycotting JCPenny until they return to a neutral stance. Of course their 'neutral' stance is just pretending homosexuals don't exist and not portraying them in their catalog. When I see the picture I see a loving family and two children that would probably be stuck in an orphanage somewhere, but for the love of these two men. Shame on the hypocrites who'd let these children suffer, without a family, in the name of 'family values'.

More fodder for ‘One Million’ moms: JC Penney ad features gay dads – LGBTQ Nation

you'd think with the idea being so mainstream that it is part of a successful sitcom on network TV that this would be a non-issue
Wonder how many of these 1 million moms actually shop JC Penney (actually i wonder if there is anywhere near 1 million moms). Gay couples with children has become quite common - at least up here where we don't have these issues at the same level as the US

EDIT - When I worked for what was at the time canada's largest department store eatons we had flyers in Toronto targeted specifically at the LGBTQ community who were some of the biggest supporters of the 1 million square foot flagship store downtown -this was in the mid 90's- so JC penney is just following the logical extension of that marketing

do the 1 million moms object to ethnicities as well who have adopted children outside their race??

Edit - i see they have an issue with counting apparently it should be more like 47000 moms LMAO

And in the active members, a third of that are probably really 'dads', and a third of the remaining amount are probably really simply angry, homophobic childless males

MAybe but

The ad reads, “What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver – all rolled into one. Or two. Real-life dads Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their children Claire and Mason.”

It's good to see JC Penny continue to ignore these whackjobs, I bet it has brought them more business as well than anything thy could have lost over it
the general public isn't as dumb as this group

I wouldn't be surprised at all, and most of those masquerading males are probably married to female members, so total household reach is maybe 30000, Hell a town that small would be too small for JC penney to consider putting a full store in

Yeah, they wanted them to can Ellen DeGeneres for being openly gay, and they flipped over an add from the gap with two guys sharing a shirt.

I think it was Lowe's that caved in to them because they aired commercials during some "reality show" that centered on a Muslim family...

That was due to protests from a different hate group, the Florida Family Association. It's funny how all these vile organizations have such benevolent sounding titles.

Feh, I get my hate groups all mixed up.

Anyway, the show was called "All-American Muslim". It was on TLC, so the show was actually most likely pretty lame, but that's neither here nor there...

so lame that it was eventually cancelled from what I understand. then hate people said it wasn't realistic because it didn't portray the radical islam, that they believe all muslims apparently practice. in other words they actually attacked it for not being the appropriate radical stereotype.

Well, since when were *those* mutually-exclusive categories?

You forget that half of those 'fans' of 'OMM' are probably hate-group-watchers.

They're actually a mouthpiece of the AFA masquerading as a grass-roots organization, heavily-funded by other right-wing hate groups and their organization is tiny, in fact the head 'mom' is Bryan Fischer, (or one of those other big names in the anti-gay industry, if I've mixed up the players here.)

Yeah, that. or, well, some of their mouthpieces are little front groups with names that sound similar enough to respected science and medicine associations to fool the unwary. ...well, a lot of them are parts of the same couple of hydras, trying to make it appear as if their disinformation is coming from a lot of different sources, and many of them change their names both to that end, or when they're discredited, disappear and reappear under another name to keep quoting the same disinformation as before. A lot of their source material comes from a single propaganda film back in like the 80's called 'The Gay Agenda' ...which has been compared point for point with the Nazi propaganda film 'The Eternal Jew.'

LOL the FFA is run entirely by one bitter 'reformed' porn addict evangelical Christian guy down there in Florida. The power he's gained through his shitty website is truly frightening. He probably makes a fortune through donations. What's the betting a significant portion gets spent on jazz mags LOL

Just speaking as a Pagan... For all I try to be sympathetic to the neurochemistry involved... Porn addiction?

Really?

I think it's where moralistic 'judgment' most commonly falls down.

For starters, they seem to get their idea of my 'lifestyle' *from* their porn, and for another, seem to think depictions of tacky sex have irresistible demonic powers.

For which they occasionally want to spank themselves, but more often try to spank others. With the law, their religion, and armies.. For trying to be real people.... Not characters in their dirty, dirty porn. Which they 'can't resist' And blame others for.

Then think 'sex is evil.' Especially if you aren't guilty and furtive, yet domineering about it. To the point of, 'You can only do this if you hate yourself and your partner, it's officially recognized as straight, with permission, and you only want to make more babies accidentally (pretend) This is freedom. Now get porn-addicted... Like most home enlargers were sold for in the McCarthy era.... "

Wow, you know? Some places want schools to teach their kids only that *I'm* some kind of predatory 'prevert' for wanting to be curled up with a botanist *right now.*

Then they act like 'porn addiction' is.... Gods. What, someone else's fault?

Goddess. Sexuality is a *gift* and a *blessing* and, frankly, the more people with preachers' attitudes *hurt* you with or about it, the more you *appreciate* that. Especially if you've been hurt by the same attitudes that mean these Christains ain't getting in my bed any time soon. While they call all people like me 'ravenously bestial' As much as call my sweetie a barn animal, which is both an insult to them and somehow connected with their porn-addicted sexual whatever....

I'm really not that sexual.

But they got one thing right.

I'd *rather* **** a goat than let their *phhhhft* What do you call it. Pathetic banality in my bed.

My point was that he is likely channelling his own sense of shame (I would be totally unsurprised if he was gay as well, especially given his homophobia, but that's just a hunch) into his angry proclamations about 'immorality'. See Ted Haggard.
