He made it across Niagra Falls on the wire

Canadian Immigration Officers welcomed him and stamped his passport, great feat probably never to be done again this era.

Congratulations Nik Wallenda

So I guess there's no point in my even attempting it now.

You could do it blindfolded, or maybe on a unicycle

I read that the TV network 'casting this insisted that he wear a "safety harness". Doesn't that rather kill the thrill?

Tangent: A few years ago we stayed in Durango Mexico awhile. Wandering around a beautiful section of town, we found the Panaderia Walenda, a superb Swiss-style bakery-cafe. Some Wallendas gave up 'flying' a century or more ago and started baking bread here. As we browsed, we chatted with a local customer -- who turned out to work in the nearby opera house, and he invited us in for a behind-the-scenes tour. We spent the next morning crawling all over that edifice. Extraordinarily friendly folks there!

A much more useful pursuit as far as I'm concerned!
