That Total gas station looks like a Hot Wheels toy accessory I had as a little kid.
Nice shots! That scooter is weird as heck though!
In the 1960's...every so often I would hang around a Triumph motorcycle dealership. One of the owners had a Simca Vedette...a very unusual car in North America. Although a French made Simca...it had a small Ford flathead V8..sounded great. I recall one evening some guy had just bought a new Triumph 500 twin, a bike with a turn for speed and he was very inexperienced. The shop owner was trying to show him how to ride...or at least ride out of the store's parking lot...and the shop owner's hair.
The new rider was having difficulty coordinating letting the clutch out and giving the bike enough throttle...to move forward.
It was a mud parking lot, with little traction..also a bit wet and slippery after a recent rain. The rider trying not to stall, wound the throttle out a bit too much and let the clutch lever in smartly...the new 500 Triumph...leapt forward, fish tailed a bit on the wet surface and slammed into the tail light of the Vedette. The Vedette's tail light was broken, the Triumph was ok, the new rider...shaking...not stirred. I recall thinking back then as a 17 year old..boy... where is the owner going to get a new Simca tail light out here in Western Canada.
