Subaru. World Rally car. Based on the Imprezza. All wheel drive, fully independent suspension, disc brakes on all four corners, turbocharged twin cam 6 cylinder boxer engine. Fast and nimble.

WRX stands for World Rallycross.

My buddy had an '04 STi before the kids came around and it was one of the best cars I have ever driven. Slot car shot out of a canon. His brother has a bugeye wagon that sees rallycross duty several times a year. Great cars and congrats!

It's a horizontally opposed four banger... Unless you guys get a completely different version?

Some get normally aspirated 4 cylinder boxers, like my Legacy wagon. Some get normally aspirated 6 cylinder boxers.

I spoke out of turn about the huffed engine. It is a 4 cylinder.

Yeah.. That's the lineup of Imprezza's. The WRX is 4 cylinder turbo?

Hi Wayne, afraid I'm not going to be able to make it to the Fairgrounds this weekend . I was looking forward to meeting up with you and swapping lies.... Maybe next time around.

Griz57 sorry you can't make it this weekend. I send racerX an e-mail trying to get him there this weekend since he was trucking in the area but he's heading to Boston.

I'm sure it will be great fun as always. We have family and friends coming in for a big backyard bbq. Tried to talk them all into coming to the Fairgrounds with me instead, but no joy.....

Well, big to us I guess...LOL. Our kids are coming up and bringing the fixings, since they couldn't get here on Mother's Day, and another couple is coming. When you live on the side of a mountain, anything more than "the two of us" is big! Ha!

Those little things pretty much kick, even in non-WRX versions.

Some driving tunes for larger vehicles, though:

The WRX has been the ram-raiders choice of vehicle since 1995 in Australia. There was a point where the police tried to have their own fleet of them to try and keep up cause their V8 barges were too slow.
