Originally posted by séamuis how can they be against a law that is in place currently in Massachusetts, that has proven to work, is still working and was and still is the crown jewel of the now assured republican party nominee. the man they are pushing to represent their party is a champion of essentially the exact same law that they are trying to repeal. and his law has proven to work! I can’t be the only one who sees who crazy this is right? I mean lets forget for a second that they want to repeal it with no viable or even unviable alternative to put in its place, despite admitting that healthcare needs reformimg. but how can they say its terrible for the nation when there is proof it works, and it comes from the very man that they say is who they want to be president. how could he even repeal the law nationwide and say its bad, when back in the state he enacted it, it would still be in place and working?
The Republicans aren't about what works, they are about getting back in power, and they don't care what lies they tell to do it. They know that a lie repeated often enough will be seen as the truth, and they know that it's easier to sell fear than hope.
