It's Bigfoot!

On Mars....

Well, he must have a spaceship then. And maybe a Pentax K20Ds?

I never realized the extent to which American networks have to strain to fill up airtime.

let's see which camera company he endorses, or worse, which camera company claims he uses their gear.

Any takers?

SpaceSquatch?

Oh, man...can't anybody take decent cyrptozoological photographs? Well, thanks, Ben, for another "thing that makes you go hmmm." I'm pretty familiar with NASA and their photo technology on the two rovers currently operating on Mars is way sharper than this bit of CNN fluff. Reminds me of why I seldom watch CNN anymore. I think I'll go dig around on NASA's website and see if there is anything like this actually released by the agency...

If you'd like to see the resolution the cameras on the Mars rovers really can achieve, as compared to the cruddy pictorial stuff on CNN/youTube, check out this recent hi-res TIFF from the Spirit rover:
http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/207427main_sol1369a-atc-20080102-hires.tif. Loads a bit slowly, but zoom in and you'll be pretty impressed.

BTW, NASA hasn't made any claims about this "finding."

Well, of course not. You don't actually think the <Trilateral Commission / Illuminati / Freemasons / Big Oil> (choose one) would let them, do you?

Two words: Reality Television.

IT'S HAROLD HOLT!

Best quote from that vid: "Why Sasquatch called a Yeti?" *awkward pause*

After Columbia, I think NASA quite welcome to have a laugh at the public's expense.
