Technically, you weren't asked anything about Rambo, either, but it didn't stop you from sticking your beak in.
Go back and read the post you quoted from, you will see a question in there, if you look.

You are a bit late since it was answered in post 147 curmudgeon. I suggest you go back and look.

Ever seen the statistics on how many rounds fired by police miss their intended target? In 1989, according to the then director of the FBI firearms training unit, the miss rate is about 80%.
That's certainly not an argument for more civilians carrying handguns.

There is no answer to this in your post:
"And if they don't fear the consequences of the law, but possibly are aware of the consequences of someone pulling a gun on them while in the commission of their crime, are they more likely to shoot first?"
Try again.

Your reading comprehension is pretty bad then. I not only quoted, but also linked the Florida Dept of Corrections which had the statistics related to the 10-20-life law. This 90 miles from me.

But I will post it for you again.

http://www.dc.state.fl.us/oth/10-20-life/

I posted this in a separate link also. Ga has a similar law. While the guy in the "Stick Up" will be charged with armed robbery, a stick can't discharge.

It isn't an argument against it, either. Range time and training is needed. That is why people buy ammo in bulk. 300 rounds with my .45, about that with a 9mm and another 200 with my .380 and 50 with the .44 and 100 with the 10mm is a simple outing for me. Ammo and reloading supplies are dramatically cheaper in bulk. That doesn't even count .22 LR.

Or why people like me reload. I typically reload 9mm and .45 acp 1,000 rounds at a time. For us, it's all about cost.

I load .45ACP, .45 Colt, .454 Casull. .357 Mag, .223, and .257 Roberts. In the past, when I had guns in calibers 10mm, .40SW, .44 Mag, .44 SPL, and .38 Super, I reloaded for those as well. Funny thing is, in forty years of reloading, I've never reloaded for 9mm.

I have never reloaded a 9mm either and the price isn't there and really nothing to gain performance wise either. I have looked at the .257 Roberts in the past.

I load:

.45 acp
.44 magnum
.44-40
10mm

.22-250
.300 Weatherby
.30-30 Winchester

In the past I have loaded:

.45 super
.460 Rowland
.38 Special
.357 magnum

my sons reload:

.338 Winchester Magnum
.30-06
.45-70 Gov.
.454 Casul
.223

We get bullets in bulk that can be used in the .300 Weatherby and .30-06 and .22-250 and .223. Same with primers and powder depending on loads. I tend to run light bullets in the .22-250 and heavier ones in the .300 although he does in the .30-06 as well.

I load several more calibers, but 9mm and 45 acp are by far the lion's share. I also do 38/357, .357Sig, .40 S&W, .44 mag, .221 Fireball, 22-250, .308 Win., .30-06 and 7.62x39. I'm thinking of starting .223, but with surplus being so cheap, I'm not sure it's worth buying the conversion for my Dillon 650. My father was a competition rifle shooter in the early 60's and that's where I got started reloading. He shot 100, 200, 300 and 1,000 yard matches in Michigan and the National Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio. When I started reloading 9mm, I could do it for about a third what store bought was. Imports have cut that number considerably, but I still reload them.

I tried reloading .380's once. Too damn small!

So was mine, though he never made it to Camp Perry.
He also shot small bore. One of the people in the club he belonged to was Gary Anderson; 1964 Olympic gold medalist. Another person from the club is another name you might remember from that era. Lones Wigger.

Yup - both outstanding shooters. Wigger was in the Olympics 2 or 3 times I believe.

Your answering comprehension pretty much sucks. You haven't come anywhere near answering the question I asked.
Neither the links you posted, the quotes you posted or your own diatribe had anything to do with my question.
