Verizon 4G LTE Personal Hotspot on the New iPad 3rd Gen with MacBook Air and iPod 4G

I tried my new 64GB iPad with Verizon 4G LTE as a personal hotspot and it worked great. My xbox 360 was on and it showed up on my HDTV looking to hook up to the iPad network. I only signed up for the $20 1GB for 30 days of 4G LTE and will drop it until I need it in the future. I signed up because I needed to use my iPad at a location with no Wi-Fi for two days and I had a fast 4G LTE connection for the two days.

I have used my Windows laptops with my 3G Droid X phone on Verizon using Bluetooth tethering. It does not require a hotspot subscription, and works quite well. I now have a 4G Galaxy s3 but haven't tried tethering with it yet.

My wife has an 18.4" Toshiba Qosmio laptop with Windows 7 that we take on vacation so it would also work off the Verizon 4G LTE hotspot from the iPad if we didn't have a wi-fi connection but all of the resorts we go to have free wi-fi.
