World's most viewed photo taken by Charles O’Rear.
This photo was taken by him on a drive to Napa valley and was purchased by Bill Gates. The photo became the default wall paper of Windows XP since 2002.

Wow, I had always assumed the image was a digital creation, not a photograph at all.

Mainly because people had to sit there and stare at it whilst their computer coughed and crawled it's way into action.

Yeah I hate that photo too.

Looks like a film medium format, makes sense, better DR and quality etc esp for landscape work
