So let's start with:
Typical. Call out something as simply ridiculous without refuting it. I'm sure you have no knowledge of the situation there other than what you are spoon fed by your press.

To a great extent, you just described your own country.
Did Canada just experience severed body parts passing through the mail system following a murder, dismemberment, and spat of cannibalism? I guess this one, singular event defines your country, right?

Canada is so tolerant, aren't they? They're just a beacon of light, a glimmering example of tolerance and equality. Please, preach to me more about the pedestal heights and perfection of the Canadian provinces.

"In January 2007 the mayor and municipal council of Hérouxville adopted a code of behavior prohibiting immigrants from covering their faces and praying in school."

A similar code passed in October 2008 requires new immigrants to sign a document stating that that they will learn French and respect Quebec's "shared values".

Canadians freely use the term "visible minority" to refer to all people of color. This legally recognized term is entrenched in Canada's Employment Equity Act of 1995.

Canada's treatment of Aboriginals is governed by the Indian Act, which provides special treatment for First Nations, Inuit and Metis. In 1999 the Canadian government created an autonomous territory, Nunavut for the Inuit living in the Arctic and Northernmost parts of the country. The Inuit compose 85% of the population of Nunavut, which represents a new level of self-determination for the indigenous people of Canada.[5] In August 2008, McGill University's Chancellor and International Olympic Committee representative Richard Pound made a statement in an interview with La Presse in which he said : "We must not forget that 400 years ago, Canada was a land of savages, with scarcely 10,000 inhabitants of European origin, while in China, we're talking about a 5,000-year-old civilization,".[6] This is seen as a painful reminder that the Aboriginal peoples of Canada still struggle to gain acceptance as a nation that was equal to the British nation."

Here are more examples of your flawless tolerance and "nonexistent" hate crimes:

How so? Where do you see suicide bombings, car bombings, etc? Sure, there was just the recent shooting in Colorado, but that wasn't one religious sect attacking the population of another sect to make a point. There were obviously psychological issues involved in that case. These happenings are also not the SOP of Americans seeking political or economic change like it is in the Middle East.

You are now describing the "christian right" of your own country.
Wow, you must think the KKK is a far larger and more influential group than it really is. There aren't religious groups campaigning on hate in this country, not to any degree of actual influence. Sure, there are groups of people out there, but nothing operating in an official capacity, especially in any level of government.

and finally:

Classic deflection, right off the get go.
You are aware that WW2 happened 70 years ago? Perhaps you should start living in the present rather than reaching back a lifetime to find something positive.
So, ignoring the past must be the best way to learn and prepare for the future. All those after action meetings and reports that take place at all levels of the corporate and military world are a complete waste of time.

I can't believe I wasted my time responding to this post.

So, ignoring the present by living in the past is the best way to learn and prepare for the future?

You didn't make an especially convincing rebuttal, that's for sure.

Is that at all what I said? No. Typical. Put words in my mouth and twist my statements to suit your ability to ignore the points I made.

Also typical liberal stuff here. I guarantee you didn't read a single link I posted and the fact you didn't even respond shows that you're incapable of actually breaking my argument or forming your own. You're a typical liberal who wants to debate online, but rarely challenge statistical or other types of data presented to strengthen and prove a point, and simply blow it off as "unconvincing." It's unconvincing because you haven't read the points made and participated, simply buried your head in the sand and ignored everything because it was posted by someone who has views different from your own and by doing so, challenges your skewed view of the world. This is typical liberal ignorance, arrogance, and esoteric drivel. But it all makes sense after looking at your avatar.
