Perhaps the NRA feels no need to comment? Are they waiting for someone to propose a closer look at firearms regulations? Any thoughts out there?

Walton Henry Butler of Port Joe, Florida was doing nothing more than pursuing his favorite pastime--standing at his sliding glass door and reminding the children in his apartment complex that they were just a "bunch a god darned ******s" who would never grow up to be a fine semi-literate, toothless, virile, vinyl-woman-romancing white man like himself.

A neighbor man of unhearlandish hue, Everett Gant, overheard Butler's tirade against melanin and approached the glass door to brutalize our proudly white brother with his chocolaty complexion. Acting in his role as a member of our nation's well-regulated militia, Brother Butler responded by aiming his .22 cal. rifle at Mr. Gant and shooting him in the head. Our caucasian avenger then turned his back on the wounded Gant and proceeded to cook up a whole mess of vittles.

Eventually, the diversity-poisoned police arrived to persecute Brother Butler. Indeed, they questioned Brother so severely, the patriot was moved to ask why they were treating him so badly. "After all," he noted, "it was just a ******."

Last week, agents of the Department of Homeland Security searched pastor Brown's home and seized child pornography, including "images of bound and gagged kids, photographs of dead children and a flier for a missing child," materials that he obviously had gathered in preparation for his Joy Junction show about naughty pictures.

Even worse for Pastor Brown, the agents learned about, and obviously misunderstood, an Abraham-and-Issac-like test God had given the pastor--a command to sacrifice and eat a child.

According to the agents:
Brown and [accomplice Michael] Arnett chatted about murdering children as young as two. In one chat Arnett described to Brown what it is like to drown a little girl and what different body parts taste like if roasted or fried in a pan.

Brown revealed to Arnett in another chat regarding the little boy at Gulf Coast Church that he would enjoy strangling the child to death... “I imagine him wiggling and then going still.”
Hopefully the Christian Television Network will host a prayer-a-thon soon to help Pastor Brown in his time of tribulation.

For the most part, I'm trying to have a discussion regarding a country that borders on mine, and which, due to the disparity in size, has a rather outsized effect on my country. The extreme levels of social violence in your country are very worrisome because we are, more and more, starting to see "American style" violence being committed in Canada.
We've had two mass shootings in the past couple of weeks, acts which up until recently, were almost unheard of in this country.
Living in Canada has been described as being a mouse living with an elephant. It doesn't matter how nice the elephant is, it can squish you without noticing.
It's not lost on us that the elephant is becoming more dangerous, less nice, and increasingly desperate.

But if it's spreading to the good and righteous Canada, with all of the laws and social systems you've enacted, then I guess those really aren't the solution either, is it? I mean after all, if it were, it would never happen there, nor would there be need to fear ever spreading there in any significant way.

CONCH KEY, Fla. (AP) — Deputies in the Florida Keys say a 62-year-old woman known as "the sea hag" fatally shot a 64-year-old man who refused to give her a beer.

When deputies arrived Sunday night Carolyn Dukeshire and a witness were waiting on them. Paramedics assisted Martin Mazur who died later at Fisherman's Hospital.

Thirty-year-old Casey Whippo told deputies Mazur was in a group of people who had just returned from dinner at the Brass Monkey in Marathon. They were sitting outside drinking beer when Dukeshire walked up and asked for a beer. When Mazur refused to give her one, she shot him five times in the abdomen, back and wrist.

Whippo told deputies he grabbed Dukeshire, told her she couldn't leave and called 911.

No attorney was listed on Dukeshire's jail record.

Since you posted this twice, I'll ask you again, do you New Yorkers ever have to arrest murderers, attempted murderers, rapists and nut jobs up there? We not only have to deal with our own, but also misplaced from riff raff from a few other states like those escaped punks from Wisconsin.

Uh, well, when you get down to it isn't Florida basically an extension of the state of NY and Canada? I mean think about it. There are probably more New Yorkers and Canadians living in FL than there are people actually from Florida. Oh, and Michigan too. Florida crackers are actually pretty few and far between. FL is a state that has always had a huge influx from everywhere else, particularly in times of financial distress because a lot of people always head for warmer climates when they can't get work up North. They figure it's easier to starve when it's warm outside at least.

I never said that they did. What I have noted, however, that increasingly they seem to feel that the best way to solve a problem is to throw more guns at it, in the fond hope that a heavily armed populace will some how solve the problem of violence in our country, the most violent of any developed country in the world.

Actually, you are highly miss informed if that is what you think. Plus you are throwing our broad vague statements. Plus, I don't know why you think they would be making annotated commentary on on going criminal cases.

However, they don't throw guns at anything. They do believe in dealing with the criminal element. Ever hear of 10-20-life?

You seem to overlook the fact that violence comes from people. Firearms isn't the only thing violent people use do perpetrate violence.

Either way, personal defense is only 1 aspect.

It is amazing how gun banners like you always narrow down the 2nd Amendment to one aspect. You either play the hunting angle, or the personal protection angle, or dismiss Katrina aftermath situations or deny the possibility 100 years from now of actually having to fight like the French Partisans did in WWII against the 3rd Reich. Competitive sporting events totally parts the Gun Ban Lobby's hair.
