Camera wars...which side are you on?

Following the great battle at F-Stop Ridge, the Allies now get their acts together to prepare for an ambush attack.....so who will win? who will lose? and which side are you on?

that woulda been awesome if Pentax or another surprise Flanked them in the fight.....made it a 3 or 4way battle....HAHA

Had it been up to their cameras, the allies would certainly have lost against nazi Germany. At the end of the war photographers like Frank Capa still shot with 10 year old German cameras since the US alternatives were big and heavy, and the UK cameras were even worse.

Kinda sad really.

There are all kinds of mixed messages there, especially concerning WWII.
Japanese war participation, and then Japanese cameras used in this video.
Germans back then were Nazis.
Americans once had American made cameras.
Taking Pictures and killing people.

Not a very cool video in any sense.

...and cue the "Relax it's only a video"..in..one..two..three.

Handheld cameras are not the only measure of photographic prowess in war. Aerial photography and recon by the allies was superior to that fielded by the Germans. Although many of the great camera achievements in the post-war period with satellites and high speed - high altitude manned aircraft had cameras that were developed, at least in part, by Project Paperclip personnel.

I was wondering if the Germans in the video used Leica; or if the Allies had Kodaks (were there other American brands that time?) I think they also shot with Canon.

Nice effects, nice costumes, great cinematography, but ...somehow I'm less amused compared to Battle at f-stop Ridge.

So, perhaps I'm keeping my city open to any camera gear right now.
