How is Iran funded? By america and the U.K.

BBC News - Standard Chartered shares rally on US settlement

This shows how a United Kingdom based bank that also operates in america can get truly staggering amounts of money through to Iran.

And unofficially. When all is said and done in this one; it will also show two large american banks (that were bailed out with american taxpayer money) also are dealing directly with Iran.

Not much of a word here in american news media. Wondering why?

Surprised the media's not all over this in the states (they are here). I find it hard to really care that much, since the banks aren't 'funding' Iran so much as acting as conduits for other countries who (legitimately) purchase Iranian goods; then again I find the whole Iran sanctions thing, with the USA trying to decide which countries can or can't trade with each other, troublesome in the first place.
