K200D question

I have a question and please excuse my ignorance but someone brought their Sony R1 to work today and I noticed it has live view. Doesn't the Alpha100,D80And K10d use the same censor as this camera. So my question is why wouldn't the k200D or the other cameras offer liveview if they indeed do share the same censor?

It's the same size, but it doesn't have to be the same design.

I don't think live view is a matter of what sensor is used. It's more a matter of how everything from the electronics to the sensor and the shutter are being rigged together.
