Was looking for info on the Atlanta Pop Fests after listening to a live Allman Bros. set and found this site by a photog I had never heard of . Some interesting stuff , check it out

That guy knew his way around a camera as there are some excellent photos on that site.
Just had a look through the bands, and will look again later.

Ahhh, thanks for sharing these...brings back a lot of memories and the images of downtown Atlanta back then.

The plot thickens
I sent the link to a friend who worked as a photographer for the Atlanta Pop Festivals and it turns out he knew this guy as well as some of the people in the pictures.

Well I did get alot more stories but alas they aren't my stories to share.
What I can say is that Carter Tomassi who's site I linked worked not only with the underground newspaper in Atlanta but with Alex Cooley (the organizer of the Atlanta Pop Festivals as well as the Texas International Pop Festivals) and my friend and mentor Robert Irwin.
Since sending Bob the link the three of them have been in contact
Edit, I knew that I'd seen some of these pics before , 2 of the Allman Brothers shots were used in album covers / liners !
