I don't know how familiar you are with that commentator, but I consider him among those who blame Obama for every concession he has been unable to get from the Right or from the world. For example, he says Obama has failed to "get Russia and China onboard" for the climate change thing. That's pretty funny, does he have some magic formula for achieving that? If so, he should share it so Obama can give it a try.

Next he criticizes Obama's administration for drilling for more oil, but that isn't the same thing as using more oil. Everyone agrees we cannot get off oil overnight, and that it would be wise to be as independent on foreign oil as possible until we can get more green.

And then he shares his criticism of Obama's statement about Romney and coal. Well, Obama did not say he was more friendly to coal than Romney, he simply said people shouldn't believe Romney has suddenly become a friend of coal. If Obama is pro-coal, why did the coal industry launch a big campaign attacking President Obama?

Coal Industry Launches New Ad Campaign Attacking President Obama

Just ahead of the first presidential debate, the coal industry began airing new ads criticizing Obama. The American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity has produced three new spots that will run on both cable and network television. ACCCE says the EPA under Obama has an “anti-coal agenda.” The EPA has proposed new rules to reduce carbon emissions, as well as mercury. The House passed a package of bills last week called “Stop the War on Coal Act,” aimed at rolling back these rules

Well I posted partly in response to the Murray Energy layoff story, and to provide yet another example of Obama compromising on certain ideals in order to work with the conservatives in Congress; in contrast to how he is portrayed by many.
