That will do it. Good to see that laws are being enforced.

This is an unfortunate side effect of majority-minority districts and democratic machine politics. The only way we got rid of our congressional criminal, William Jefferson, was thanks to a hurricane moving the democratic primary election to the November 2008 election and then the general election between him and a republican being the only thing on the ballot in December and not enough democrats having the wherewithal to hold there nose and go out to vote for him. That resulted in the first ever vietnamese-american being elected to congress from one of the most heavily democratic and african-american districts in the country.

He also exposed the racism of the CBC who denied him membership despite him representing mostly african-americans.

Just because Republicans don't want to "pay" for anything doesn't make it right..............

Kind of an ironic statement in a thread about a Democrat going to jail for misusing campaign funds.

Yeah but he's Chicago democrat. Apparently that means something totally different than your average upstanding politico. God, at least you'd think he would have had the common sense to buy her a Patek.

But what about Edwards, didn't he do basically the same exact thing?

And for people who are really Sherlock Holmes types of people out there... Guess who broke the Edwards story on his campain run? The answer is quite close and on this very forum

William "Cold Cash" Jefferson form La was re-elected despite being indicted and convicted on corruption charges. He had $50 K of FBI sting money in his Congressional chambers in D.C. hence the nick name "Cold Cash" Jefferson.

The democrats in Wisconsin must be cut from a different cloth, because we have the exact same type here - corrupt and greedy. Certain factions of the Louisiana Democratic Party more closely resemble organized crime in their mentality and modus operandi. Say what you want about republicans like Jindal, but at least he is 10x more honest and effective than most of the democrats.
