exwintech has passed away

Hello. I am the Chief Editor of The PCLinuxOS Magazine. I'm sorry to have to make my first post here a sad post.

Exwintech, a member of your forum, passed away on November 10, 2012 in Sydney, Aus. after a brief illness. He was 64 years old.

I discovered that exwintech (a.k.a. David Doak) was a member of this forum while researching a "tribute" article that I have written about David (scheduled to run in the December 2012 issue of The PCLinuxOS Magazine). He was also a long time member of the PCLinuxOS forum, as well as being a long time user of PCLinuxOS. At the PCLinuxOS forum, David was well known for his passionate "raves" about topics that interested him. In his later years, he took up photography and was passionate about learning as much as he could. Yet, as impassioned as he was about his favorite topics, David also received a tremendous amount of joy from helping others. He tried to helped others as often and as much as he could.

R.I.P., exwintech! You will certainly be missed!

Condolences to his family, and thanks for reporting this.

He seemed a nice guy around these forums. 64 yo is too young.

RIP Exwintech
