Enough missing weapons to fight a good sized battle

More than 100 rifles, including ‘AK-style’ weapons, stolen from train car in metro Atlanta - The Washington Post

Published on the 30th of November, but the crime happened on the 12th??

I'll update this thread later, but take a guess at hom many firearms go missing in america each month?

If by 'missing', you mean stolen, I wouldn't be suprised at a high number. But then again, there are also a high number of cars stolen each month, so what is the point you are trying to make?

BTW: I highly suspect this was an inside job.

MFP. And how many don't "go missing?" I've owned weapons all of my adult life and I've never once mislaid one, had one up and disappear or had one stolen.

There isn't much information in the article. Given how ignorant the typical journalist is, they could have been AR type rifles. However, what they were is moot. The number of rifles, grenades etc. stolen from military armories around the world each year is staggering.
