I-Tunes & Tablets?

I want to get Mrs Rupert a KindleFire HD 10 inch, but one of her main desires is to be able to download and use I-Tunes, which rules this out.
So...what decent tablet can I get her that will download and run I-Tunes, other than an I-Pad, which I am trying to avoid?

I hope you can help me, time is running out, and if she gets nothing, you guys may never see me or Otis again!

Regards & Merry Christmas to all my friends here!
Rupert/Otis too!

Good luck Rupert - I am no expert but I would assume a tablet that runs windows 7 would be fine (probably windows 8 but they are hard to find at least here and pricey as well just NOT Windows RT). There are various inexpensive Android Tablets that will not run itunes however there are several apps (free ones even) that will sync your music with itunes (I use on my phone called Rocket Player , it's free). Several cloud services are available but they want a monthly fee.

Personally I would go with an Android one and get an app (you google which Android apps will sync with Itunes) if all she wants to do is surf, email, and music.

Thanks Dave, it looks like I am not going to be able to get what I want....or more correctly Mrs Rupert isn't. I refuse to buy an I-Pad, so maybe she will get a new notebook instead?

Regards!

What's so special about I-Tunes? Amazon has better prices much of the time and Android is much friendlier to play with. Don't know about tablets but I just plug my Android phone into my USB port and my PC treats it like a jump drive. I copy my music to the phone and it's done. Android will recognize and play just about every music file format out there.

iTunes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Most people unfortunately don't bother to complete read and/or understand items such as TOS (Terms of Service) with items such as iTunes. If on egoes "by the book" one of the most significant factors about iTunes (also one which takes up an enormous amount of the program memory) is a feature which live tracks literally every user above the age of thirteen.

Unfortunately no joke. It can tell to a very precise point to exactly where you are anytime your ITunes using device is anywhere within internet range.

How well does this item work? It can easily track you throughout most of the world to about a fifteen meter range.

But there are some savy computer users that have figured on ways of bypassing the tracking feature without having to uninstall the program completely, but... That also technically violates the tos contract. There have been users whom have lost access to some of their content based exclusively upon this one.

not so sure.

check to see of iTunes downloads are in apple format or you can download them as MP3 or WMA format.

Somewhere in Itunes there is a switch for the format that you import media, I know this works for CDs specifically, where you can download in MP3 as a minimum.

This lets you be somewhat format free.
