My comment about owning a Pentax camera was made to Alain_Co, unless of course you have created a second user ID in violation of site rules.

You were the one who brought McD's into the conversation. I merely pointed out that they delivered - and from the very beginning to boot.

Since you seem to have an abundance of time, why not go through the past 50 years of Popular Science and Popular Mechanics and note how many life changing advancements they predicted (cold fusion among them) never came to fruition?

As for you admitting you're wrong, I somehow doubt any of us will ever see that day.
AlainCo stumbled on this because he is one of the CF "watchers".. and probably got here via web search ... regardless he should be treated like a guest not a pariah.. in biz the idea is you never know who will become a customer..

To be honest.. that was a bit rude and not really appropriate.. as to "world savers" over time..what makes you think I haven't watched.. Until now most made me yawn... same went for economics .. until the light bulb went on..

When I'm wrong I'm wrong.. but you have to prove it. Common sense/knowledge/wisdom doesn't cut it in my book, .. I guess we shall see who is more "humble" won't we.....

Besides why do you want to make such an issue out of a curiosity??? I post current "news" and don't even ask nor care if there is a response.. though the responses are usually revealing..

Edit: note to self MickyD's ..bad example.. I was WRONG to use it..

token post of photography related item:
My new fw tank hobby and LED DIY design.. Taken w/ an ancient *ist-D..you know the camera that underexposes everything and has fake TIFF's..

Gee found some more important "science"..
Guppies ensnare lovers with genital claws, biologists slice them off to prove it (Wired UK)
QuoteQuote:
Laser shaving genitals seems to be in vogue right now in evolutionary biology circles, as researchers attempt to make sense of the rapidly evolving evolutionary genital arms race that has seen male bed bugs develop weapon-like -like structures for stabbing and impregnating the female, and driven male white widows to self-castrate in the middle of the act to ensure enough sperm reaches the females, which they know will soon after eat them anyway.

Some of the protrusions on the genitals of insects -- or in this case, fish -- are so tiny, it's almost impossible to monitor them while in action. Hence, it has become best practice to shave them off, and see how the species fares without them.

70+ posts by one person on a subject is not a curiosity, it's an obsession.

As for this thread....seems harmless enough to me. I haven't seen anyone investing their life savings based on what they read here, and no one has been injured or killed. It is a lot more dangerous in the FF discussions, and at times even more ridiculous and absurd.
Anyhow, Otis says it is all worth coming to if he can pick up a few good bug porn sites as an added bonus.....

Regards!

Okay, we're done here. This thread has far outlived whatever purpose it may have once had.

EDIT: I see someone beat me to it.
