Had a family member upgrade his kit recently so I was pleasantly surprised to open a box with a Minolta autometer iiif light meter. I'm pretty stoked as I've been wanting a meter for awhile.

Merry Christmas to all.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Congratulations, and Merry Christmas Alex, to you and your girlfriend. It's great that you have someone special in your life that supports the passion that you have for your photography.

I am blessed to have such a gal in my life as well. Back during the Black Friday sales I was telling her about some of the great deals being offered by B&H and Adorama. In particular about how you could, at B&H online, get the DA* 16-50 and DA* 50-135 both, for what you would normally pay for just one of them. Well, she walks out of the room and then comes back in a minute and tosses me her credit card and says " Go for it". I said to her " Are you serious ? " And she replied " Merry Christmas". How awesome is that ?
Well, I was sort of thinking of getting one of them for myself, for Christmas anyway, but since she stepped up with such a generous offer, I took the money that I was going to use towards that and got the DA* 55 f1.4, which I have had my eye on for some time, and the K-01, since they also were being offered at some very good discounts. I got the K-01 from Adorama, for $316.95 . That's about half, or less, what it originally was being sold for.
Anyway, I have to say that this, indeed, has been a very special Christmas and I am very thankful to have such a wonderful lady in my life.

By the way, I got her in addition to other numerous items, an Apple iPad Mini.

Merry Christmas, guys.

I brought ASUS Transformer TF300T tablet. Now I am looking for a software that can transmit images from the camera in real time. I don't know if it exists yet.

I guess that will be the DA15, the limited case, and the Tiny Q.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our Pentaxian Friends.
We do celebrate Christmas even though we are not Christians - studied at a residential Roman Catholic Public School run by the Christian Brothers of Ireland - offering a GCE from the University of Cambridge.
Our presents were a few Christmas Greeting Cards from my Christian Friends and lots of Merry Christmas emails - one with a link to "Silent Night Holy Night" in German - which we took as a 2nd language at school. Elated and happy.
Regards. Bipin.

My wife swore on the day we were married that she would never give me a photographic gift. Not so bad since I can buy what I want when I need it. On my list is a 55mm FA f2.8 made for the 645D, but I have to wait until the next tax year.

I have a new 55mm Pentax FA, f/2.8 lens built for the 645 D. I've tested it and that's all.

Long story but I am selling all Pentax 645 lenses I own and the 55mm is available. I've already sold my 645D.

Q

Looked at the Q for some time. Found one new for less than the lens that was on it a few days ago, so it's mine. Couldn't wait for Santa.
Maybe he will get me the fisheye lens. The Q sets next to my K5, looking pretty. Merry Christmas to all. Dan
