Finally got to play with my new K-5IIs. Mind you i bought it myself a month ago.
Got my wife a new expensive mixing thingy that goes in the kitchen, it's blue and it's very heavy. If she makes lots of cakes I will get fat.

I figure the're not so such much as Christmas gifts but rewarding ourselves for working so damn hard this year. I felt like collapsing in heap after flying home on Saturday.

Now its time for a holiday.

Hope everyone here has a great christmas and a safe and relaxing holiday season.

I got a Pentax Q. It came a few days early and I had not the patience to wait and had to open the box and play with it. Looking forward to getting the Q to K adaptor so I can try out all my lenses!

Thanks for your service Heie! I'm a retired LTC (Army) and CDR (Navy), 32 years total.
Since my family and I give each other stuff all year long and use the reason of holidays in general, I got a brand new K-5 IIs a few months ago and my wife called it a very early Christmas present! Of course, we get other stuff on Christmas morning too! I am eyeing an Olympus OM-D at the moment. We'll see.

I bought myself an Olympus 45mm f/1.8 lens for my GF-1. Who else would know the right lens . Nice thread. The photo club membership sounds great -- wish there were something like that here.

Everyone have a great Christmas !! Spend it with family and good friends. Take some photos

I have a new 55mm Pentax FA, f/2.8 lens built for the 645 D. I've tested it and that's all.

Long story but I am selling all Pentax 645 lenses I own and the 55mm is available. I've already sold my 645D.

Thanks, Jack, but I have to wait until mid-Jan before purchase.......so says wife/bookkeeper. Might I ask why you are dumping all the 645D stuff?

My wife went to my B&H wish list and got me a lot of new toys for my K-30. I got a spare battery, 32 gb Sandisk Extreme, Vello remote switch, two petal lens hoods, and a manfrotto table tripod. She also chose two Humvee vests because I had mentioned that I liked wearing jackets because I had pockets to stuff my accessories and I wasn't sure what I would do in the summer. I am not sure if I would feel funny wearing these vests, so I need to decide if I will keep them.

I hope everyone has a great holiday.

For Christmas, I got to come home and see my family and to spend mine and my Father's birthdays together today. Nothing in the world could top that.

Had a great Christmas Eve dinner last night as tonight will be back to work. My daughter and a friend cooked up the Feast of the 7 Fishes with an Adirondack twist as most of the fish was locally caught Trout, Salmon, Walleye along with store bought Cod, Haddock, Swordfish, Shrimp and some others I can't remember. A truly good time. As for presents, I got a Goal Zero solar charging unit that will get plenty of use in the coming year.

We won't open gifts till the kids and grandkids get hyere later today. I am hoping that with all the hints and photo's strategically placed around the house that there may be a blue k-30 under the tree.
