Post Your Quasi Normal Music Here Thread!

Another post your music thread.

I never know if my music is strange enough for the post your strange music hread, so here's a new one for both.

Since the old one seems to have gotten lost.

So happens I recently found myself in another part of the world, behind the wheel of a large automobile. (We'll not go into any paricular marriage issues since this is both another part of the world and they closed P&R,) Driving home to what's significantly like a shotgun shack, only kind of underground and I haven't quite made the front porch charming. I heard some 'normal music.'

Nonetheless. the retro was pithy.

I notice a lot of love for Bowie on the forum, which is just as it should be. Any thoughts on the new single?

I think the new Bowie single starts out a bit slow, but I like how the music progresses and picks up deeper into the song. It's decent. I like it. I'll be buying the new album.

You know, I really need to check that new Bowie single out. I'd heard of it and kind of been expecting to hear it on the radio, but for that I'd need to change the station to music once in a while.

Ah, very pretty. Do hope the album has some stuff on it that's more upbeat, though.

I like a ton of different artists, and lots of different genres of music, so there are few artists that I just flat out don't like. Peter Gabriel is one of them. I just never liked his voice. Hated early Genesis with him on vocals and thought I would pull my hair out every time I heard Sledgehammer on the radio.

Speaking of Bowie, though, someone doing a good cover-bandy version of one of my personal theme songs:

Sons of the Silent Age feat Shirley Manson: Life On Mars - YouTube

And once I used to dress more or less just like that. (without sequins) Now I feel old. Again.

That's not just "someone" or some cover band -- it's Shirley Manson of Garbage. She's performing with a Bowie cover band featuring Ministry's Chris Connelly and former Smashing Pumpkins drummer Matt Walker.

Not strange, but really high energy. Live from Daryl's House. A song which Daryl wrote back in 1977.

I like a ton of stuff......but only if I can understand the words. Old stuff is some of my favorite....you can always understand the words!

Image one: Some of what is on my 32GB iPod. About 350 complete albums from 75 artists

Image two: And some of what is not on my 32GB iPod. More than 2,500 other records, tapes and compact discs from more than 500 artists

Today I am listening to R.E.M.
