1. You may submit your design in any file format, but you MUST be able to send a vector image if you are the winner.

So probably Photoshop is not the best tool for creating t-shirt

I am not sure if this will help, but if you have no Illustrator. You can use Photoshop’s pen and/or shape tool with solid color in each object, no fancy gradation and layer effects. When you done, print it as PDF, then “print settings”, change default settings to “PDF/X-1”, and print it. You will get a pdf file with vector object(s). fully editable in Illustrator. better set your color using CMYK, and make sure the working area is inline with the pdf setting when print too. I test it on CS5 and it works. I don't know about another version. “PDF/X-1” setting might not be necessary, but that is what I always use with artwork for print.

Or if you already have illustrator, you can just copy/paste objects btw Psd and Ai. but then you might want to just use Ai from the beginning!

Or do your image in PS, save, open it up in Inkscape, do a bitmap trace and save the SVG

Two remarks.

I understand that I can submit any scanned hand drawn sketch in two colours, as long as I submit a vector image when I win.

The pentaxforum logo is already two colours. If you encorporate this logo, you have no colours left.

Actually you can use them on shapes as well. They might not be as desirable in vector graphics as they are in photo editing tough.

These are my entries... hope they comply with the submission rules:

Black T-Shirt with grayscale design

Charcoal T-Shirt with color design

White T-Shirt with grayscale design

Raw T-Shirt with color design

I tried to incorporate the Pentax Forums logo on the T-Shirt design but when rescaled the logo started showing white artifacts in the borders.

Most likely black, white, and a third color... Maybe light gray?
How abut neutral gray and then the person wearing it could be used to focus on and set your white balance.
