RGM chronograph. My 1st nice watch. I bought this particular watch because I loved the detail and the fact it was made in America. I believe watches are made to be worn, so this has been worn a lot. I've gotten more compliments on this particular watch than all the others I have, or had.

Calling all watch collectors...

I'd love to see which of us on PF are watch lovers. Show me your favorites!

My Croton with Swiss-made ETA 2824-2 movement, sporting the Maryland Flag NATO.

Waltham 17J Jump-Hour Automatic, Mid 1960s

What to wear? A collection of my watches laid out on a dress shirt while I decide. Bulova Marine Star, Invicta Automatic (Miyota Movement), Seiko Quartz from the flea market, Seiko Chronograph, and an Invicta Diablo II.

---------- Post added 06-14-17 at 03:55 PM ----------

One final post. For now

The new hotness; my Seiko Solar Alarm Chronograph, found 50% off at JC Penney. I love this thing!

Thank you! It's certainly unique and a quality piece. I bought it from eBay as a wreck and after clean up and a new leather strap, it looks sensational. There are some really beautiful watches in this thread.

These two I received for a friend in the mid eighties, are from the fifties. I just love their old fashioned style, even more than my more expensive watches. The one on the right ( an early bumper automatic) was given to me, out of its case and missing a hand and crown. The empty case appeared to covered in a tar-like substance. When I got home, I wound up the 'insides' and left it overnight. In the morning, the remaining hour hand seemed to be keeping time, so I set about cleaning up the case. This was in the eighties, when there were still jewelers who fixed watches, so I was able to get a new crystal, crown and hand, and the watch re-inserted into its case for some $60. The watch kept time within 5 sec a day thereafter. The second Omega is a later date model, and was at least in one piece. It too was taken to to the same jeweler for a service. I haven't worn it since that service over 30 years ago, but just checked it over the last few days, and it is losing 8 seconds a day. The last of the mechanical watchmakers are dying out, leaving only the elite manufacturers to service their products. I was quoted $1800 plus tax when in Canada last month, to service my Rolex. How long can this go on?

This is my favourite watch. Sadly, the dial is in need of a restoration, and the crystal can do with a replacement and the crown has lost it's plating, but it's my favourite everyday watch.

Richelieu is a French make, but the watch is a GSW movement, Swiss made, 1940's.

Beautiful Victorinox, and quite similar to the Swiss-made Burett I picked up yesterday.

It's a Quartz watch with 200m water resistance and a 1/10s chronograph. It's also my only watch with a chronograph *and* a dive bezel
