Photos of my friend Wally just in time

Wally was my 16 year old cat who passed away yesterday morning at the animal hospital. I work away from home every other month and he has been a loyal companion for my wife during those long periods away, for that and the fact he was ultra friendly and never did anything wrong it really hits me hard when I think of him. I knew his days were numbered when I was looking for a nice DSLR, so I didn't debate too long about getting a new K5IIs 18-55 ALII, *50-135 and *300. I literally had about 4 days to photograph and video him by the time I got the camera. The photos really came through and I don't even think about what I paid because the images are priceless for me and my wife. Thanks Pentax

Sorry for the loss of your beloved companion.
Non-Pet owners sometimes have a hard time understanding the emotional impact that a pet has on us...both throughout their lives and with their passing.

I am a dog person by nature but cats seem to love me. Go figure. I can see from the photo that Wally was special. His personality really comes through. I am sorry for your loss.

Sorry about your loss. Our 14 year old cat Tiny (who looks a lot like she could be Wally's sister) is having severe health issues as well and there is little we can do for her other than try to keep her happy and pampered until she leaves us. Our world will be much smaller.

He was a handsome tabby. Sorry for your loss, we lost our tabby in March, so I can understand how hard it is when a fur baby crosses the rainbow bridge.

Sorry to hear your sad news, it's a great image you have to remember him by, he actually looks like he's smiling in it.

My condolences, he was a fine looking cat. I'm not a cat person, but after 18 years, when old Mr Kitty died I cried like a baby. I feel your pain.
They are family, no doubt about it.
Regards

I offer condolences to those who have lost companions. Thoughts are with those whose companions are having health issues.

I'm sorry about your kitty! It's so hard to lose them. We have a little plaque on the wall that says "a house is not a home... without a cat". My fur baby is precious.
Wally is very handsome! That's a nice shot of him. My eye keeps going to his cute little nose. Great that you have some photos to treasure. May you remember many happy times with him.
As Simon & Garfunkel said, "I have a photograph... preserve your memories... they're all that's left you."

Our cat, The Bossman, died a few years ago aged 17.
Before him we had a hard-as-nails tom who lived to 14.

16 is a good age, but it's always hard to see them go.
