Question Doc - does a watch collector venture into clocks also, or is that an entirely different field?
Very little overlap in my experience. Watch collecting has a much broader age range than clock collectors. Clock collectors tend to be elderly and more likely to be a woman than watch collectors. Watch collecting runs the gamete from inexpensive to astronomical in price. There are many who are niche collectors, such as the Russians I mentioned in an earlier post, but there are many other categories - Divers, Chronos, 24 hour watches, etc.

Any specific reason you asked?

Just out of curiosity. I've never worn a watch, but do look at a clock now and then.....I think I'd like to learn about clock works also.

Clock works are often much simplier than watch works because of the issues of scale. Clock works are huge compared to watch works. Of course there are exceptions but in general this is true.

Got a photo of it? I don't recall what that model looks like.

Crappy iphone shot, but here it is. Didn't like the rubber it came on, so stuck it on a Nato for a bit and then ordered a Watchadoo bracelet. Much improved.

My black Seiko Monster is on a Wathadoo. Seriously solid bracelet!

I'd love to see photos of it. What movement does it have in it?

Montblanc make a nice watch but the trend toward huge watches leaves me cold personally. Do you own that one? It seems to be a very interesting design but I had not seen that particular model before.
