Yes, and then having the IR filters removed......AFAIK, male mid-life crisis entails the need for a "convertible"?

Hmm. Isn't that the start of the divorce and death-by-Harley-Davidson period?

I resemble that remark. I didn't buy a convertible" until I was 53...

Its sort of funny though when people fuss about men's "mid life crisis's". Frankly its the first time, for many men, when we aren't spending the vast majority of our money on other people (notably our children). So a little slack might be in order for a guy who's wanted a convertible or a Harley his whole life but couldn't afford it because he was putting the needs of his family first.

I hear you there. My last kid graduated college in 2010. I've always had a bike or 2 in the garage. I had a 77 CB550F that I bought used for $700 in 1985 and a 77 GL1000 Gold Wing I got for free after a roof collapsed on it that I kept running forever, mostly with boneyard parts. I bought a NEW Harley last year, my first new bike ever, just in time for retirement.

How old are you Pentaxians?
It seems the population has aged a bit since then.

I have noticed that it seems skewed towards older people. I guess it's not an illusion.

I'm 22. Looks like there's only four people who are possibly younger than me so far (one for sure).

Here's another thread on the same subject. Not a poll, but it shows that there actually are quite a few Pentaxians under 20.

Amen to all that! After a "not so small" fortune is spent on raising kids...then a large fortune on sending them to college, we deserve a little bonus...if there is anything left to give it to us!

My uncle used to complain that life is upside down. When we are young, raising kids and struggling, we need lots of money but don't have it. When we are old and have few expenses, we have lots of cash but are too old and worn out to enjoy it like we could have all those many years ago.

Not complaining here, I have everything I want, can't think of a thing I don't have or couldn't get if I wanted. Life has been good, but it has been a struggle at times. You young guys, hang in there, it can get better if you stay the course!

Regards!

It's relative, and you can rely on your relatives to tell you. For myself, I rely on Groucho Marx's definition.
I'd be in trouble with my wife if I responded to that one.

Oops! I guess I just did.

Phil.
I have suits more than twice your age -- and I can still fit in them.

I am in the 65+ group, and I will cross the 70 year level the end of this month.
