After a lot of search i guess i ended up buying a fake card.

If anyone can provide me photos of an Extreme III 4Gb SDHC card, i would be very much appreciated, so that i can confirm my feeling :S

First off Why do you feel you have a fake card? Is there something wrong with the way the card records? Or is it you cant get your computer to read the card? Some later model computers can not read the SDCH format This would take an upgrade of your card reader. Or is it that your camera will not read the card? In this case check your firmware version and if need be upgrade the firmware. to check firmware version hold the menu button in at the same time you turn your camera on this will give you the version.

I already have a Extreme III SD 1Gb card.

And the finish is different, the sticker is not aligned, the colors look dull, i know that it's different generations that's why i would like to see some back photos of a genuine to see if the serial # and the hologram looks the same.
Also the pouch that comes with it looks like a real knock off.

Maybe I'm just getting paranoid

Sandisk Extreme III uses 2 different designs, and also has slightly different pouches.
Post pictures of what you got. Maybe other people have similar ones.

The design of the 4GB SDHC card is different from that of the regular SD III cards.

There should be a printed card in the retail package.

I don't see anything wrong with the accessories from those pictures.
The pouch that came with my 4GB model is different than the one I got with my 1GB model.
I really can't say which pouch is better, they are both quite useless IMHO.
Both bought from the same brick & mortar store.

Bought it here:
SanDisk Extreme III SDHC 4GB 133x SD HC 4 GB on eBay, also 4 GB, SD, Speicherkarten, Foto Camcorder (end time 30-Mar-08 10:55:31 BST)

I did a lot of research before buying it, the seller looked legit to me.

He sent an invoice with VAT, and everything seems legit.

Only the packaging and some aspects of the card looked a little suspicious to me.

The reader is recognized as genuine sandisk.

I personally would never take the risk of buying a memory card on eBay - there are probably a dozen genuine sellers competing with a thousand fake sellers worldwide.

After saying this your memory card does seem to look genuine. There is usually a bigger gap between the serial number and "Made in China" on the fakes. Your eBay seller looks clean.

Lets hope it is just your paranoia

Cheers

i have a 2gig sandisk extreme III model an the pouch looks exactly the same.

i bought mine from amazon.de. i don't think they sell fake ones there.

as long as the speeds are good and there are no read/write errors, i think you're ok.

That image from NewEgg is different from this one shown on sandisk.com with the class 6 marking:

SanDisk | Products | Photo & Video | Extreme III SD Cards

Is the Newegg version still class 6?
