My Semi-Retirement Shelf

Sadly, today I put a new member onto the semi-retirement shelf.
Cameras that are "ready to go" but are hardly ever called back to active duty.

There is one K5 still in my active kit (until I get another K3)

Such is progress.

Sad, but these cameras *do* have a place of honor and are separate from my "collection"

Didn't you buy a K-5 IIs awhile back? If that K-5 needs a good foster home, I am available.

I was VERY close but held off. Thankfully Ricoh didn't mess up the K3!

LOL. Honestly, if you lived near me, and I knew you in real life, you could come and borrow whatever you liked!

Ah, the MZ-S such a great film camera. After everything I did to find the remote cap, it would be hard to part with!

Yep. That is just the "semi-retirement" shelf. The "collector" shelf is more fun (along with the lenses).

It really is sad that I don't have more Pentaxians in my area. If I knew someone that wanted to borrow my gear, but take real good care of it, I'd be fine with it.

Alas, too many people don't respect Pentax gear that much.

It usually only takes holding one one time to gain a measure of respect. My Nikonian Cousin was really impressed with the K-r. He never got a chance to hold my K-5. I do miss that camera. I wish I could afford to keep everything, but I don't have the space or the funds.

LOL. There is a reason I am a Pentaxian, and why there are no camera/lenses in my forum signature.

Yep. After this week, my second K5 might be on the shelf before too long.
I'm loving the K3.
I wish physics could give more light to the tighter pixels, but that is the trade-off when it comes to resolution.

Great camera the K5, no doubt about it.

I think Ricoh/Pentax should keep producing the K5, so there is a camera between the K50 and K3.

For folks that don't need the resolution of 24mp, the K5IIs is probably one of the greatest cameras on the planet.
