Monument to Four Vietnam War Photographers Dedicated at Newseum in Washington DC.

Just thought it was pretty cool that these guys finally got the recognition they deserved...

Everyone who views this thread should get a copy of Michael Herr's Dispatches. Captures the craziness of it all really well.

I've been lucky to enough to meet Tim Page, and even luckier that he literally threw me a Contax G2, to borrow before his partner took it to Afghanistan last year. He's got a limp, and a good chunk of his brain missing.

It's a good thing. Great to see them acknowledged, because without them, we'd know nothing of the war.

As an aside, Philip Jones Griffiths has died.

I remember seeing a few of Shimamoto's photos in the U.S. newsmagazines back then. Thanks for the link, Mike.
