Well I be 30, this years going so quickly ill be 31 before I know it. My word, when I was younger I thought 30 was old and 40 ancient, ahh to be a youth again Nah its great being this age
Get this though, I actually was asked for identification for beer the other day (legal limit hare is 18). I didnt know whether to laugh, be annoyed or take it as a compliment I smiled at the lady and told her my age and she was very apologetic and embarrassed. It was worse when I went to America a couple of years ago though. I was id'ed on the plane on the way there, every single bar and restaraunt we went to and then on the plane back!

The novelty of looking young will soon wear off. Time waits for no one! The last time I was asked for age ID I was 26. I beamed brightly, showed her my drivers license and thanked her profusely! I'm the opposite now- they are asking me if I want the seniors discount! I am no where near being a senior! Well, I am closer than you but that doesn't count! But my beard is turning decidedly grey these days.

I'm 32 myself and loving the new stage of life as I get used to being a dad. I do wish my metabolism wasn't slowing down though ...

[QUOTE=stewart_photo;214790]Well, it's been over twenty-four hours since this poll started (and over 100 votes), so perhaps it's time for some initial comments. While I don't think there are any huge surprises in the under 59 age groups, the sharp dropoff above 60 is interesting. Anyone care to speculate on the reason?"

I doubt that's the explination. If it were, a drop off from 22% to 9% would suggest those over 50 are killing over at a truly astonishing rate with more than half not even reaching 60. Not likely.

Without further data it means very little. It means that few people older that 59 responded to this poll. Anything more is speculation.

In June I'll be 76, does anyone else remember how flash sync. worked in the late 1940ties? No? It went like this: you needed a shutter with a "B" setting, a flash pan that had a trigger to activate a flint (just like a Big lighter) unto which you poured a measured amount of magnesium powder.

To take the photo, camera in one hand flash in the other. Press shutter release, pull trigger on the flash gun and let go of the shutter release. By the time the smoke settled you were usually ready to take the next shot.

A little later there were prepackaged paper cartridges, but one still needed the flash pan with the flint wheel.
