What did you get for Christmas?

I guess I'll start the thread for this year- what goodies did Santa bring?

I'm probably not going to get any presents for Christmas but I did buy two film cameras (a Canon EOS Elan IIE and a Pentax K1000SE) so I guess I can consider those presents to myself.

A wine fridge. The wine to fill it is for my birthday next month. (I do have some of the wine already, including a Penfolds Grange)

My biggest gift I guess would be that, as compared to last year, I'm home from Afghanistan this Christmas, and spending it (in the Austrian Alps!) with my wife and her family.

From one fellow soldier (former in my case) to another, welcome home.

Glad to see you're still back Alex. Most of our troops have come home this Christmas.

Given that I have a beard, and it's mostly white, may think that I'm my own Santa. And this Santa brink me an Enormous tripod, 1920mm fully opened, with a fluid head.

Merry Christmas

I didn't get anything photo related, but I did buy my wife a DA* 16-50 now we will never know who's is who's with one each. I did get a new office chair so maybe my editing will improve.

Sigma APO EX DG 2x Teleconverter - it wasn't that I had an urgent need for it but at AU$99 (about US$90) brand new I had to direct my spouse towards that purchase (Sigma have just reduced the price from $349 to $249). I think that K mount gear sits on the shelf for too long sometimes and someone decides to shift it at any cost. Other mounts were still $249! But I am looking at a K-50 post Christmas. Prices have not started to track down here yet.
