My only photo-related gift was the Pentax F remote, along with some novels, headphones, a new seat for my bike, a mouse for my computer and some clothes. All in all a very nice haul. Haven't gifted myself anything yet, but I've been looking at getting a wide angle lens, as my shortest focal length is my M 50/1.4. It seems my local camera shop has a K 28/3.5 in their used inventory, so I sent off an email to them last night. Oh, and I was one of the lucky recipients of that k-50 giveaway, if only FedEx can get their stuff together and get it to me..

Got myself a classic Nikon S3 rangefinder with Nikkor 10.5cm f/2.5 lens at last camera show. Only had to wait 50 years for right price. My Pentax Super Program is

in for a tune up. Best of all, 5 years since my Christmas Day 2008 heart attack! Feel great.

Best to you and yours for the new year.

Nothing photo related, but my wife spoiled me with a new ipad mini and some high end waterproof gear that will be VERY useful for kayaking and fishing here in the Seattle region! And we got a very nice family gathering too Glad for all safe returns from the sharp end of the spear...

Someone up thread made a suggestion as to what to do with my VS gift card that I won't use that was really good. I'll probably do that. I'll use it to buy my mom's gift next year!

So I've got $75 to spend on myself. More SD cards? An inexpensive flash? What should I get?
