So I've got $75 to spend on myself. More SD cards? An inexpensive flash? What should I get?
It's a bit over your budget at $110, but what about the starter kits mentioned on strobist.com in the Lighting 101 tutorial (light stand, umbrella, etc)?

I got a Carl Zeiss Jena 75mm f1.5 lens a few months ago, as my Christmas present in advance. Thankfully its in good condition and works like a charm.

Put the bulk of the gift money I got in a shoe towards the hopeful arrival of FF Pentax DSLR next year and appeased my GAS for now with the purchase of a cheap Yashica MF TLR and some film.

I guess I'll start the thread for this year- what goodies did Santa bring?
I got a Tamron 17-50 F2.8 for my K-r which was long overdue. I am also expecting Santa to get me a Nexus 5 as a replacement for my Nexus 4.

...and my 4 year old daughter got her favourite 'sweet shoppe' Play-Doh that she had only been relishing on the YouTube.

Hi All,

I received courtesy of Pentax Forums a white K50, a nice period tripod to display my KL Biggs copy camera on, as well as some nice new shirts.

I spent the Sunday before Christmas customising the K50 so that it functions in a similar fashion to the K20.

Thanks Adam.

A very Happy Christmas to all on Pentax Forums, what a wonderful community of sharing photographers.
I do trust you all enjoy a safe and prosperous 2014.

I started reading through this thread, and it's getting longer each time I got to the next page!

I was ever so fortunate to be given a K-3 and 16GB card. What a treat!

Since selling my K-7 and K10D, I've been using my *istD and K-01. While both of these are very respectable, the K-3 is really a wonderful camera. The Pentax / Ricoh designers have certainly put a lot of thought into the design: both from the hardware and software perspectives.

Well... since it's down to just me and my 81-year-old mom, who can no longer see to drive, I got "nothing" from someone else (well, some friends that are kindasorta like family will come by to exchange SMALL gifts later today). However, since I get WHAT I want or need WHEN I can get it, my Christmas is still looking OK... Pre-ordered Silver K-3 as soon as they went on sale: got the Monday before Thanksgiving. In addition to the 32 GB 80 MBps UHS-1 Sandisk card B&H threw in with it I scooped up a 64 GB 94 MBps card from Amazon (better deal), and use the 32 for my second card drive (to record JPEG, while the 64 is in Drive 1 recording RAW)... Also ordered the "Op-Tech version" of the two-camera Cotton Carrier (TM), which is about 1/5 the price of the brand name, but appears to be almost identical and equally functional (watched an online review from Amazon), plus a few more little odds and ends like SD card cases...

Then, yesterday, KEH had a Sigma 400mm F5.6 lens on sale in EX condition for $275, and based on one of the DPReview forum member's thoughts on the matter (he probably owns every Pentax-mount lens ever made -- ALMOST), I made a purchase on Christmas day, lol.

So I'm happy, even if I AM paying for it!

Merry Christmas, everyone!
Jeff

I got a delicious Cherry Pie from my 87 year old Mom.

My best gift was on Christmas Day when I was able to drive my little Audi TT and take Mrs Rupert out to Burger King for lunch, walk in on my own two feet with no crutches or walker, and although it was walking very slow and with a profound limp and some stiff pain....I was walking!!!! After 3 months of being home-bound, it was a great gift!

Best Regards!
