My brother in law gave me this. And another one to my daughter.

Santa was VERY good to me. I received a K-3 and two Sony 32 GB 95bps memory cards!
Seems the long awaited upgrades to K3 has finally arrived!

Gifted a set of 6x25 Asahi Jupiter binoculars to my partner. A more exquisite design of binoculars you will not find!

Santa gave me an Epson Perfection V750 pro scanner to enable me to digitally process Pentax 645N medium format output.

Daughter gave me a Cannon lens - was worried until I realised it is a perfectly disguised coffee flask, ha!

Happy Christmas Pentax people.

Well, for me, it was a new phone, with a 1.4MP camera, quite like the old days, when digital cameras were introduced!

The posts about things like being released from the hospital and returning from active military service serve as a reminder to most of us about how fortunate we are and how we shouldn't take the routine, underrated gifts that we have for granted.

Having said that (and meant it), I must say Santa was quite good the me this year, having brought me a Pentax Q7 and a Panasonic GX7.

My lovely wife got me this cool trigger set from ebay:
HSF Ultra Micro Pack Photography Trigger Sound Laser Lightning Delay Box | eBay

A laser trap trigger for catching wildlife/birds (going to try and photograph the hummingbirds at her mom's place next year) or doing water drops, a lightning sensor trigger to photograph fireworks and lightning, and a sound trigger to photograph things that make loud noises… not sure what I'll do with that one, but going to a firing range to try and catch bullets emerging from a pistol might be worth a shot (pun vaguely intentional). Also a delay box to make sure it snaps at the right moment, and of course the appropriate trigger cable.

And I just bought her a Pentax Q with the 5-15 lens for $150 from someone who just never really got around to using it.

My sister got me one of those last year. The cap doesn't stay on, so it spills all over the place

First I would like to thank Heie for his review of the Sirui tripod he did...because now I am the owner of one

First impressions are awesome.

Also I got a cactus wireless flash trigger set and a YN560 II flash...
I have had the non carbon fibre version for almost a year and it is a great travel tripod.

I'm hoping the Sirui my wife got me for Christmas lasts a long time. I've read a lot of good things about them, so I gave Santa a hint, complete with url.
