So I've got $75 to spend on myself. More SD cards? An inexpensive flash? What should I get?
I would go with a bounce flash. It's a real game changer if you need extra light somewhere.

A couple of dolls, a VF for my Oly, 40-150 M43 lens I wanted, but unfortunately not the 30mm Sigma I wanted. It turned out the one I got was the wrong lens mount, not a M43 lens, and alas I had to return it. I was really bummed over that. I was so looking forward to finally having a full kit for my little Oly. But having the VF, I just love it. I'm totally having fun with my Oly now. It made a huge difference in my enjoyment and ability to use the Oly. Not that I am getting to use it that much. I'm in a bad flare, have been for a while now, and I'm feeling just bloody awful. I'm not taking too many pics lately even for work. I do what I can to make the rent happen but right now anything more is just utterly beyond me. Sorry I'm not around much, but that's why. Just not up to much lately. Eh, and this too shall pass...:P

.

Took the photo with my DA L 55-300 and my new K5II.
I got one, too, but haven't tried the in-flight pic while flying. Nice work.

Thank you,

It was a joint effort, my wife was holding it steady while I took several shots. The room was poorly lit so I had my Sigma flash on the table in wireless mode. It's a fun toy!

Some useful clothes, a pretty cool travel light/alarm thing, and then a red letter Pentax strap, a magnifying eyepiece for the K-30, and a nice pair of pretty new looking LX lugs...

I got a red dot finder for my K-5. Not entirely sure what I will use it for yet, though

I also helped Santa by getting myself a DA 70 a few weeks ago.

I agree, you probably already have all the SD cards you'll ever need. Freddy

As I live in Spain no gifts until the 6th of January, but I'm in the UK until the 12th so will have to wait there for most.

My folks got me the ND filters I asked for though - a 400 for daytime long exposures and a 4 for taming the Spanish sun when using my film cameras that don't have such high max shutter speeds. Using a polariser for that was a bad idea, at least on colour film...

The only photo-related gift I received was an Artisan & Artist (E25r) camera strap. I also got some cash that I'm thinking of putting towards a new lens or a photo trip.

I got the satisfaction of realizing that after 30+ years shooting Pentax I really have everything I need and 99.9% of what I want. I also realized that at 50 fish tanks I may have almost enough. But Petco is running a sale on 10, 20L, 20H, 40B an 55s at a dollar per gallon.I am resisting however.
I really got everything I needed on 5/8/09.
