Could be. Wiki reckons it has a 6 speed auto or 7 speed manual.

Obviously no body here hs ever listened to Bill Cosby and his 1960's tribute to Carroll Shelby. The record is called 200mph. Listen and laugh

I saw this too. I also find it odd that the guy didn't put the nitrous button on the wheel. Wonder what it cost to get the Texas DOT to shut the road down for them? A donation to the state department of justice?

Hi

Same here. Certainly good but not that spectacular when you consider my antics with my Mercedes 300 SL which I owned for many years some forty years ago.

In those days I commuted a lot between Melbourne and Sydney with this beast and on the Hume Hwy there were even in those days stretches of road where I regularly topped between 260-270 km/h. Australia had no speed limits then but you had to prove that it was safe to drive fast if a cop ever felt to pull you over. But none came ever near me at this speed. They radioed ahead a couple of times to stop me but every time they where more interested in the car as it was a rarity, I think there were only four of them in existence in OZ. Those were the days

Greetings

P.S.
By the way this photo was taken with a 24x24 format ROBOT camera which I still own to this very day.

Hi

Unfortunately not, I sold it in 1982 and I regretted it ever since. I sold it mainly because of the very frequent maintenance interval this model required and the high cost associated with it. There was only one Merc dealer in Melbourne at the time (Silver Star Motors) who could service this car and this was only because they employed a German immigrant mechanic who did service this model in Germany. I should have put it up on blocks and put it into storage. It is worth a pretty penny these days as a collectors item.
Btw, it was a Hardtop. (Detachable roof)
Too late she cried as they say in the classics.

Greetings
