Australia wins anti-whaling court case against Japan

At last, Japan has been ordered by the International Court of Justice to cease whaling of large whales.

Australia, with support from New Zealand, took it to the court. I read that the USA didn't want us to take Japan on.

Let's hope the Japanese abide by the decision.

Brilliant news, let's hope they don't try to find a way to get round it or even worse just withdraw from the the agreements and conventions on whaling.
Now the world need to wake up and stop harvesting krill before the whole food chain gets wrecked, just for sake of some very very dubious medical benefit to humans claims.

We need to get Norway and Iceland to stop whaling, too.

Breaking news. Japan stops exporting Pentax products to Australia as retaliation for whaling ban. Nooooooo!

I think it is a very good decision. Australia has been campaigning for the whaling to stop for some time now, although what I have read on the internet although Japan has accepted the decision they will maybe go through a process on how to appeal against it
