Just received my first Pentax camera!!!

Hello everyone! I joined this site not to long ago to get info and first hand input on Pentax cameras before buying one. I want to say thank you to all who had input and also the Administrators. This site was very helpful in my decision making and I am now the proud owner of a K-7! Again thank you!

Shooting some landscape images with the K-7 in the monochrome infrared digital filter will change the way you look at the sky.
Just for fun, I recently rented the DA* 60-250mm but other than that, a DA 18-250mm is nearly cemented to my K-7.

Enjoy your camera!

Thanks for the idea Matt. I will check that out. I will also look into that DA 18-250mm. I picked up a Sigma 18-200mm used just for now and a prime manual focus 50mm F1.7. Feel like a kid a Christmas!!

Welcome aboard and congrats on your new camera!

I am still enjoying the K7 after many years of use, especially for landscape and flowers.
Coupled with some older lenses .... a beauty !

Congratulations on your decision and welcome to the site. I too spent some time here investigating before I made the decision.

Richard.

Thanks Richard. This is by far the best investment in photography I have made so far.
