It looks like my trip to Vancouver last month may just pay off in a way after all.

One of the fitness women competing in that body building, fitness show just contacted me through Model Mayhem, looking for a photographer

I'm not positive yet, however I think that I have a photograph or two of her competing there.

So theres a decent chance that I can actually add some of her own photographs to my portfolio when we meet for the first time.

I'll just give any I have with her to her anyways. I'm sure that she can use them in the future

I know that she'll like my work, so there's a good chance that we'll work together in the near future.

There were only 2 people from the Okanagan (the region where I live) competing at the event, and I was the only photographer there from out of town. So it surprised me when we put two and two together.

And I was really hoping on contacting both these competitors for a photo shoot after the event, but had no way to get in touch with them. Partly due to the problems I had with my former client.

So I'm really excited about meeting with her and possibly working together

I guess that it proves you can often turn lemons into lemonade, when life hands you a tough one

I'll sort through those images after I get home tomorrow, and hopefully find a couple of good ones.

If I do I'll email them to her, and ask for her permission to post them

I might not be able to right away, this wedding has me rather busy at the moment.

That's great Stu. It looks like a sector that has a decent demand for your services. Maybe she can offer you some insight on how to get in touch with others in that circle. Keep us posted on how it goes.
