Sad. I rode my bicycle with him once.

Depression. Very very sad.

Pretty shocking and very sad. I can't be the only one that was looking forward to Mrs. Doubtfire II. How terrible for his family. Impossible to understand...

A comic genius in every sense of the definition:

"A genius is a person who displays exceptional intellectual ability, creativity or originality, typically to a degree that is associated with the achievement of an unprecedented leap of insight."

He will be missed.

RIP

Not surprising, but sad. He had a history of drug addiction and manic episodes.

It is very sad for the world to lose yet another comic talent in this way. Even though depression and the sort of zany, manic humour he excelled at seem to go hand-in-hand, it's nonetheless a great loss, especially for those closest to him.

Quite sad. Probably my favorite comedic actor of the past 40 years... I'll definitely miss his antics and incredibly quick wit.

OMG
One of the things I have always thought of him, besides being incredibly funny, is that he appeared to be a man that truly loved life, and loved people in general. I don't usualy get emotional about the the death of people I've never known; but this one hurts!

What a colossal loss this is. Reading about this I honestly want to cry. This man was such a huge talent and such a kind man from all accounts. He was always there making people laugh and caring deeply about everyone he knew. He was a rock when his friends needed him. He was there for the Reeve family for years, though all that happened with them. He went out of his way to perform for people hurting all over the world. The performer impressed me always but the man's big heart always touched me more. I devoutly wish someone had been able to reach him, to heal his pain. RIP, Robin Williams. You WILL be missed.

Well, sometimes those can really go hand in hand: loving life and people can really hurt, too, ...sometimes the more so for really funny people.

Sniff. Probably gonna have the other side in stitches, though. Lady's waters heal his heart. Y'know, he did all right.

Not very compassionate are we? It's horrible when anyone loses the battle with alcohol addiction and other mental illnesses. A good reminder for people like me why it's important to take better care of ourselves... to put our mental wellness and addiction recovery priority.
