True, but if your belly is empty bread is pretty good at easing the pain of hunger. Anyhow, the lady looks like she has maybe eaten a little too much bread herself.....but guessing her age is not that of a Spring Chicken, she seems to have survived it!
I feed lots of animals here in the Woods of Otis, and I find the universal best loved feed is black oil sunflower seeds. All the animals love them, from tiny Chickadees to the family of nightly Raccoons that eat what is left in the squirrel feeders. These seeds are packed with protein and are delicious too....I buy around a 100# a month along with another 100# of wild bird feed, which is mostly small seeds along with sunflower seeds.
Of course, even a healthy diet doesn't guarantee you will stay trim and slim!
