babel fish says...

狗 right rest correction 义 细 节 mark our mark life

there ends my abilities..

the stuff babelfish cant pick up are either proper nouns or special case spellings, considering how messed up Kanji is, iw ouldnt be surprised if it was something really simple

EDIT: beat to it.. hahaha

yup, I tried pasting this into several translators an got the same thing.

'The dog is the rest is the just detail my life'

translators are shite at poetic translation so that could account for it a bit but what characters are the three question marks supposed to be? because I know those aren't Chinese.

Thanks Mike for recognising it isn't Japanese.
Thanks everyone else for trying.

If RiceHigh sees my question, I'm quite sure he would be gentleman enough, as always, to provide a translation.

Actually, with Google I got:
"The dog is the rest is just details of my life"

Nearly makes sense now. Like "The dog is the icing on the cake in my life".

But keep in mind that the "rest" part is 休憩 which means "rest" as in "take a break" and not as in "the remaining portion".

It's chinese but using simple characters. Mainland China style. Perhaps changing the title will attract the appropriate viewers.

Thanks guys - I'll ask a mod to change J'nese to Chinese.

EDIT
Ooops! I used the report function for the wrong purpose - apologies to the Mod. Slap on wrist, won't do it again.
END EDIT

To be honest, the whole sentence lacks comma and stop. It simply does not make any sense.

Unless this was written somewhere in a highschool hall on the beam and sides of pillars, this is disjointed words jumbled up.

I could sort of deduce the overall feelings...

Dog is where I rest my mind

Details of life

My whole life

That might make better sense.

There were these funny characters like justice used in this. This may be written by a delirious magistrate judge.
