Certainly we're free to hold Olbermann to a different (higher) standard than the various Right-Wing commentators who host political talk programs on cable television, but I'd like to suggest that we reserve the mock-outrage for something more deserving than a man doing what he was hired to do.

I believe that his outrage is genuine. I don't think it was play acted nor scripted.

I've not made myself clear.

I wasn't suggesting that Mr. Olbermann was anything but genuine in his reaction. The "mock-outrage" to which I referred is some of the reaction in this thread to his commentary. My point was to challenge the suggestion that Olbermann's rant is somehow inappropriate (particularly when that charge is made on the grounds that expressing contempt for Bush isn't journalistic).

With that in mind, a quick re-reading of my previous post may prove useful.
