help with benjikan's site and a song please

I went to one of benjikans sites...

Benjamin Kanarek Photographer ftvstudio.com featured member

and there was a freakin awesome song playing. But I cant figure who is singing it or what it is called. The music player only has 'Queremos Paz' when it is playing.

I looked that up on the web and found a bunch of other songs but not the one on benjikans site. Does anyone know who sings this and what the name of the song is?

Benjikan, you out there?

The singer is male and keeps saying 'i am the rain'....i think.

Freakin awesome....gotta find out what this is.

Found their website and the only mention I can find to Quermos Paz looks like it comes from their 2001 cd entitled La Revancha del Tango. I played the short clip from this and it sounded nothing like the song on your website.

The lyrics from that song are as follows...

Queremos construir una vida mejor para nuestro pueblo...

Now granted, I dont speak French, but this doesnt sound like anything I heard in the song.

My webmaster in Miami put up the songs and gave me the info. You might want to listen to all of there stuff to find the name of the song. That is what he listed on my website.

Well, that was embarrassing. Total brain fart. And I took 2 years of spanish in school and work with a lot of spanish speaking people. Im a retard.

But I did find the song! Benjikan, you might want to talk to your webmaster. I think he's been hitting a little bit of the ganja. The group is called UNKLE and the song is called Reign. Here is a link to a site with the lyrics.

The English vocals you heard were by Ian Brown who was the vocalist for a great English band from the 90's called The Stone Roses.
The new version of the song was done in 2003 when Gotan Project released an enhanced version of La Revancha del Tango.
The track was also done in 2004 by U.N.K.L.E. on the CD Never Never Land and was also a single, the track was called Reign (it's possible that this was the first version with the Ian Brown vocals but was released after the Gotan Project one).
The U.N.K.L.E. version was remixed a year later by Crystal Method on the album Community Service II.
Both the U.N.K.L.E. and Crystal Method versions credited the vocals to Ian Brown but I don't think the Gotan Project version did which is what leads me to believe that the Gotan Project just sampled the vocals.
