Some days, it's so good to be me! Yesterday afternoon, I went outside to take some test shots with a lens and some of my little friends were sprawled out in the road, deeply engrossed in something. When they saw me, they all came running over and Lila (the little girl in the yellow) hugged my legs, looked up and said, "I wished you were my grandpa!" Sheez.... I almost melted! I was completely overwhelmed. I'll admit, I got very misty-eyed. I'm such a softy! I asked what they were so intently looking at, and in unison, they chimed, "A grasshopper!" They ran over, got back down on the asphalt and pointed to it. So, I took a picture of their little fingers.... and the grasshopper. Then, I had them gather together and we took a group shot. The little one, Tara, was very proud of a kitten patch on her pants! Lila made me promise that I'd print one for her grandma, so after downloading them, I made two prints and took them next door. Some days are very special. I feel like I hit the lottery!

Gotta love days like that......seems that there are too few of them in this world, but when you get one, you never forget it!
Wasn't it wonderful when we could get excited by a grasshopper! Kids are the greatest at lifting your spirits!
