Big BSU game tomorrow!

BSU plays Fresno State for the Mountain West Championship. If BSU wins, they will go on to play in one of the five major bowl games.... most likely the Fiesta Bowl vs. Arizona State. We've got one heck of a running back in Jay Ajayi. Ajayi is the first RB in the NCAA with 1,600+ rush yds (1,619) and 500+ rec yds (536) in a season in 9 YEARS!

Go Broncos!

Yeah.... believe me.... I know! I live here and I've got to put up with it, but try and get past that and watch the game so as to view some upstanding, out-of-this-world collegiate football! BSU's team this year is one of exceptional talent in several positions.... quarterback, offensive line, linebackers and especially, running back and wide receiver. My dream game would be if we could play Oklahoma again in the Fiesta Bowl. We beat them once before in the Fiesta Bowl, by a single point! It is considered THE BEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME EVER PLAYED by ESPN and several other noted pundits. But, I wouldn't be heartbroken if we got to play Ol' Miss. They are responsible for our only loss on the season, our opening game. But, regardless, it's gonna' be one heck of a game.

But.... I guess I'm countin' my chickens before they hatch! We've got to beat Fresno State (6-6) tomorrow night! I hope so! If we lose, I'll be sorely disappointed!

Ya' know, as much as I dislike the blue turf, there just might be something to the "mystique" of it. We have a home-field record of 91-4 since 2000 on that ugly rug! No other football team in history can make that claim!

BSU is know.... and often times hated..... for their "trick plays," and they pulled out all the stops in the Oklahoma game. Hook and lateral, statue of liberty, etc. What made the win over the Sooners extra sweet was the fact that the Oklahoma folks continued to make very derogatory statements such as, "We really had hoped to play a more competitive team," and such BS as that. A real "David & Goliath" game. What was also cool, the young man who ran the ball in for the win, Ian Johnson, immediately went to the sidelines, got down on one knee and proposed marriage to his girlfriend, who was one of the cheerleaders! You can't make up stuff like that! Gives me chills just remembering it!

By the way, she said yes!

So what do you think of the Idaho Falls area? Thinking of retiring to there. Only a few hours from Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

I like Idaho Falls, but I like any and all of Idaho. It is a conservative, common-sense, family values, second amendment, personal freedom, sportsman's paradise. Very low crime rate, low taxes, low cost of living (in comparison), low population density, and what I really like..... a REAL four seasons! We have mountains that fully are equal to the Grand Tetons.... the Sawtooths are magnificent in their own right. The Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness is amazing, too. Little know facts about Idaho: We have a sea-port. We have a submarine base. We have less than half the population of the City of San Francisco. The largest industry in Idaho is technology.... NOT potatoes! Second is tourism. The tallest building is only 14 stories tall, the Bank of America building in Boise.
